Take Action NOW!
"Few, if any, people observe bright nights [an unexplained glow in the night sky] anymore due to widespread light pollution... [b]right airglow can be a concern for astronomers, who must contend with the extra light while making observations with telescopes" (Shepherd and Cho). This is just one of many problems light pollution poses to the human race. There's so much airglow in the sky you can only view bright nights in very remote locations. Light pollution is affecting astronomers' work. It hurts the environment. It blocks out the night sky.
Something needs to be done now to prevent further damage to our world. Look deeper into this issue, and research how you can help. The easiest way to help is to donate- time and/or money- to help this issue. Also, as Dr. Justice recommends, use "a warm colored LED" to minimize wasted light and help maintain insect populations. Every little thing counts, so don't hesitate to do something- even if it's considered small!
